Affiliate Disclosure

ToysAI intends to earn revenue through affiliate commission. At the time of writing we have no affiliate links live on the site and we have not yet earned any commission. This page sets out how affiliate links will work when they do appear, and the rules we hold ourselves to. When you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you — you never pay a higher price because you arrived through ToysAI.
Why we use affiliate links
ToysAI is free to use. We do not charge parents a subscription, and we do not sell your personal information. Affiliate commission is how we intend to cover the cost of running Miko, maintaining our toy catalogue, and keeping recommendations independent of advertising deals.
How commission works
When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer records that the referral came from ToysAI, usually by storing a cookie in your browser. If you complete a purchase within that retailer's attribution window, they pay us a percentage of the order value. The commission is paid by the retailer out of their own margin.
We are applying to affiliate programmes and networks relevant to Singapore families. We will name each programme here once we have actually been accepted into it, and we will label the links on the site itself. We would rather this page be dull and true than list partners we do not have.
How this affects our recommendations
These commitments govern how Miko recommends toys:
- Commission never determines ranking. Miko recommends toys based on the child's age, developmental fit, interests, budget, and availability that you describe. Commission rate is not an input to the recommendation.
- We recommend toys with no commission attached. If the best answer is a product we earn nothing from, or a toy you already own, or no purchase at all, that is what Miko will say.
- Retailers cannot buy placement. We do not accept payment to feature, rank, or describe a product more favourably.
- We disclose in context. Where a link earns us commission, it is identified as an affiliate link at the point you can click it, not only on this page.
What this means for your data
Affiliate networks may set cookies or use similar tracking to attribute a purchase to ToysAI. This tracking is operated by the network and the retailer, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies. We explain what we collect in our Privacy Policy. You can block or clear these cookies in your browser at any time; doing so does not change the price you pay or your ability to use ToysAI.
Editorial independence
Product information such as age ratings and indicative prices comes from our own catalogue data and can change without notice. Our catalogue is currently a curated sample used to demonstrate how Miko reasons, not a live inventory — see About for the detail. Miko's guidance is AI-assisted and intended to help an adult shopper make a decision. It is not child development advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about what is right and safe for your child. Always check the manufacturer's age grading and safety warnings on the packaging.
